The first JTEPS questionnaire survey will start in September 2025. Including yourself, around 10,000 young adults from Japan will be invited to participate in our study, some of whom may have already taken part in an initial pretest study and are already familiar with it (thank you very much for taking part!), while others will be hearing about this new study for the first time.

With your help, it will be possible to better understand and explain the life courses of young people in Japan. For the first time, the role of transnational experiences in education, training, employment and in private life will be addressed as a focal point in order to understand the possible impact of internationalization policies in Japan. This requires extensive questions about your past and present life situations in order to understand primarily which life paths young people with and without experience abroad take in present Japan.
